Services
Musculoskeletal Associates provides you with an experienced team of specialists. All our physicians and specialists are fully trained in treating disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system (nerves, muscles, and bones). Working together, they will create a plan for you that initiates the right therapies in a coordinated sequence for the most effective treatment possible.
Treatment protocols founded in scientific research and proven results. By examining past treatment courses, plus the measurable outcomes of new and established therapies, our physicians can devise a treatment plan that optimizes the speed and success of your recovery.
Customized, highly effective patient care. Although our treatment is based on established protocols, we tailor your course of therapy to your condition and unique circumstances for the best possible outcome.
“Aggressive” conservative treatment. We call our treatment approach “aggressive” conservative because we believe in active treatment plans that restore function to the painful area early. We view surgery only as a last resort,. However, rest assured that when surgery is indicated we have excellent referral relationships with the best, highly skilled surgeons and our physicians will refer you to an expert in the correction of your condition.
What if I need surgery?
We realize that some conditions are best managed with surgical treatment. If this approach becomes necessary our knowledge of the surgeons in Southwest Georgia and throughout this region allows us to select from the most respected surgeons in the area to provide this service. Afterwards, with an integrated post-surgical program, we can provide all the follow-up care and physical therapy you will need to maximize your surgical results.
Pain Management
To relieve or manage chronic pain, your MSA physicians rely on an interdisciplinary approach and a wide variety of treatment techniques. Depending on your condition, they may recommend oral medications, compounded topical medications, spinal manipulative therapy, pain-relieving injections, physical therapy, and complementary treatments. These options may be used alone or combined for long-term pain management. We do not use chronic long acting narcotic therapy for management of pain
